Part One: Review of Other Teams Video Projects AR/VR in Education and Healthcare The first video I reviewed was produced by the Otter Devs and covered the topic of AR/VR education in healthcare. The topic was very interesting and the team did a good job explaining the differences between AR and VR. The presentation was clear with good audio and excellent visuals. The quality of research was excellent and the presenters kept the video interesting. Teamwork was very apparent in their presentation and each team member did their part presenting the various elements of their chosen topic. I think this presentation is very appropriate for the computer science major audience and deals with many of the topics and issues that have relevance to the chosen audience.  Brain-Computer Interfaces The second video I viewed was the brain-computer interfaces.  Week 7 Learning Journal Part One: Final Research Video Project Planning The week we continued to work on our final research video project planning. Most of our collaboration was done through our team Discord server. We primarily communicated through chat and our weekly meetings. To create the video we will be using Adobe Premiere Pro along with some free stock footage via EnvatoElements. I think our process was pretty smooth although we do not have a lot of experience producing video so there was a little bit of a learning curve. I am confident we can get the job done though. In the large collaborative projects I think we will need to decide how to break up the work and assign based on the teams members strengths and weaknesses.  Part Two: Weekly Lecture Reflection From this week's activities I learned the importance of communicating through presentation.  Week 6 Learning Journal Part 1: Capstone Ideas During this week's meeting we discussed some of our Capstone project ideas. We had a wide range of different ideas, but the one we discussed the most was a personal inventory application. The idea is that this application would be used to inventory all of a users clothing. The user would be able to track items and determine which items should be kept and which should be discarded. It would also have the capability to recommend clothing pairings based on the status of the clothing items (i.e. clean, dirty, being washed, etc.). We will continue to develop out the app and see if it has merit. Part 2: Weekly Learning In this weeks OLI modules we learned about active listening and assertion messages. I think many of the topics covered in the active listening were helpful. Juan's Blog Vance's Blog Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas The three ideas I have for my capstone project are two different mobile apps and one indie game. For the two apps I am thinking of creating something in Swift, the programming language of iOS. The first app is a passion project that involves a list builder for a miniature tabletop game called OnePageRules. It is an independent miniature game ruleset and already has a web version. My app would take that template and adapt it for iOS. The second app would be a simple star wars app that utilizes an online API for Star Wars call SWAPI. This API has a number of entries related to the Star Wars universe in JSON format. My app would connect to this online API, download specific pieces of data and display them in the app.  The third idea would be to create a simple side scroller game. The game ...

 Part One: Educational Goals The biggest goal I have is to graduate from the CSUMB CS Online Program at the end of 2025 and receive my diploma. I plan on attending the graduation ceremony in person and walking across the stage to receive it. I feel that continuing to envision the actual diploma will help to continue to inspire me to work towards that goal. Part Two: Career Goals One of my biggest career goals is to find employment as an iOS mobile app developer after graduation from the CSUMB CS Online program. I feel this is possible and in addition to the degree I plan on releasing at least three more apps to the app store before graduation.  Part Three: ETS Computer Science Test After reviewing the overview and the sample ETS test I feel that I would likely score in the 50th percentile.  Part 1 From my previous post I need to improve on making every hour count. After reviewing the website AcademicTips.org I learned some good strategies on the Time Management page. I have started to really lean on making a weekly schedule and allocate my time for the week. I like to be able to visually see my schedule in google calendar and this helps me stay on track to prioritize my work. Having the schedule also helps me to have a reason to say no to unnecessary activities. I find that I have a reason to say no, such as I unable to attend because that time has already been allocated for studying. I do leave some room for flexibility however, because the plan is for the week I find that I sometimes need to make adjustments to fit unforeseen events into the schedule. I try to focus on consistency and not perfection. Part 2 This week we learned a great deal about ethics. What I found most helpful was the ethics frameworks.       In this week's module I learned about our work styles. For my own work style I lean towards being a "Get Along" or people oriented work style. I strongly desire for everyone in the group to get along and work together. I will also let others make decisions in the group and tend to follow the group decision even at the expense of my own personal opinion. I also learned about conflict and the different conflict styles. One thing I found particular interesting was the conflict spectrum. I was to place myself somewhere on the spectrum between conflict is negative and conflict is  positive. On reflection I found myself leaning more towards conflict being positive. Even though I would like to avoid conflict, I do understand that it can be necessary to ensure that the best decisions are made. Everyone has a different perspective and brings those differences to the table. So although my work style was "Get Along", I also am okay with conflicts in the group if...
